Turvo Works When Your Partners Log In. LoadStop Works When You Do.
If your operation needs one platform that plans the load, moves the truck, pays the driver, and closes the books in one automated workflow, this is the comparison to read before you sign with Turvo.

Side-by-Side Comparison
LoadStop vs Turvo: A Network to Adopt or a System to Run?
Compare how LoadStop and Turvo are built to work: where the automation actually runs, what arrives in one subscription versus what depends on your partners signing in, and whether the platform coordinates your freight or operates your company.
| Feature | LoadStopEnterprise TMS | TurvoCompetitor |
|---|---|---|
| Platform Model | ||
| Platform Scope | One AI-native and agentic platform for running quoting, carrier sourcing, dispatch, planning, tracking, documents, invoicing, settlements, IFTA, safety, maintenance, and reporting against a single load record. | A collaboration and visibility platform spanning the shipment lifecycle from order through delivery, with every party working on the same record. |
| Primary design intent | Built to operate a carrier, a brokerage, or both at once. The unit of work is your load and your truck. | Built to coordinate a supply chain across companies. The unit of work is the shipment and the parties around it. |
| Where the automation runs | On your side, with no partner adoption required. Automation continues to work whether or not your customers and carriers change anything. | Manual coordination is removed by moving parties into a shared workspace, so the benefit scales with how many partners actively use it. |
| Hybrid carrier and brokerage | Carrier-broker multi-tenancy syncs operations across both sides of an asset-based brokerage while financials stay separated by entity. Agency management supports tiered and percentage commissions. | Serves carriers, brokers, 3PLs, and shippers as distinct parties in a network. |
| Deployment options | Multi-tenant, single-tenant, and private cloud, on Microsoft Azure with Google Cloud for specific services. | Multi-tenant SaaS. Data processing takes place in the United States and India per Turvo's Data Processing Agreement. |
| AI, Planning & Intelligence | ||
| Automated carrier sourcing and tendering | AI Cover module runs waterfall, broadcast, and direct tendering with configurable per-lane carrier sequences, response windows, automatic escalation, and auto-post to DAT and Truckstop when the waterfall is exhausted. Tenders go by email, EDI 204, portal, or SMS. | Order and shipment execution assume the capacity relationship already exists. Confirm how carrier sourcing and competitive tendering are handled in your configuration. |
| Fleet planning and optimization | AI Shipment Optimizer builds a full fleet plan across available loads, driver HOS, equipment, lane rates, and appointment windows, with scenario comparison and real-time reoptimization. Lane Balance groups inbound and outbound by city to keep drivers out of imbalanced markets. | Order to Shipment Planning covers shipment-level planning and consolidation across the network. |
| Reporting and analytics | 60 to 100-plus live reports across load performance, lane analysis, carrier scorecards, and customer profitability, plus role-based dashboards, the Analyze layer, and cloud data warehouse integration for teams running their own BI. | Turvo Analytics builds customised reports across more than 200 built-in attributes. |
| Dispatch & Execution | ||
| Dispatch workspace | Dispatch Control Room with four view modes (Grid, Timeline, Drivers, Lane Balance), AI match scoring, drag-and-drop staging, and bulk smart match. Interactive KPIs render inside the screen, so fleet performance is visible without leaving the board. | A modern, well-regarded cloud interface with strong global search and one shared view of a shipment across companies. |
| Trailer pool and detention capture | Seven trailer statuses with dwell timers from drop, threshold alerts, and automatic detention charge generation onto the customer invoice at per-customer rates. | Shipment-level visibility covers trailer movement within the network. Confirm dwell tracking and detention billing for your configuration. |
| Driver mobile | The driver app is on the same platform as settlements, documents, and dispatch, so proof of delivery lands where pay is calculated, and drivers can see their settlement breakdown before it is finalised. | Turvo Driver App delivers real-time visibility on assignment, origin, and delivery. Reviews raise recurring themes around battery use from continuous GPS, low-signal usability, and multi-page document upload. |
| Asset & Fleet Operations | ||
| Driver settlements and payroll | Six pay structures, including percentage, loaded and total cents per mile, flat, hourly, and combination. Eight accessorial pay types, including detention, layover, stop-off, and hazmat. Drivers see the breakdown in the app before finalization. | None |
| Fuel, toll, and IFTA | Fuel, toll, IFTA, and expense management with fuel card and toll pass integrations. | None |
| Fleet maintenance | Preventive and unscheduled maintenance tracking by mileage or calendar, with DOT annual inspection scheduling and equipment taken out of the dispatch pool automatically. | None |
| DOT compliance and safety | Full driver qualification files across ten FMCSA components with 30, 60, and 90-day expiry alerts, plus drug and alcohol program management covering pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing. | None |
| Visibility & Collaboration | ||
| Multi-party collaboration | Load-level and milestone tracking with exception alerts, plus customer visibility, without requiring partners to join a shared network. | A purpose-built collaboration layer unifying shippers, 3PLs, brokers, and carriers in real time. Nothing here disputes that. |
| Customer-facing visibility | Customer tracking portal with automated milestone updates, geofencing, and predictive ETA. | Shared visibility across every party is the product, not a bolt-on. |
| Inventory and warehouse visibility | Not offered. LoadStop is a trucking operating system and does not cover warehouse inventory. | Dedicated Inventory and Warehouse Visibility product, a genuine advantage for shippers and 3PLs managing stock alongside freight. |
| Appointment and dock scheduling | Stop-level scheduling inside dispatch and planning. | Dedicated Appointment Scheduling product built for facility and dock coordination across parties. |
| Integrations & Data Exchange | ||
| Integrations | 120-plus native integrations across ELD and telematics, asset trackers, load boards, factoring, fuel cards, toll passes, accounting, and visibility platforms. | Integration Hub with roughly 40 named partners. ERP, accounting, and other third-party connections may add setup effort and cost. |
| Native EDI | Native EDI, including 204 tender and 990 acceptance, with no per-connection setup fee and an Open API. | EDI is supported through the Integration Hub with transaction and connection costs. |
| ELD and telematics depth | Native API integrations with 24 named ELD providers, including Motive, Samsara, Geotab, Omnitracs, Orbcomm, and JJ Keller, feeding GPS, HOS, odometer, and DVIR data into planning, tracking, and compliance. | Telematics and visibility partners are available through the Integration Hub. |
| Security, Trust & Service | ||
| Security and compliance | SOC 2 Type II compliant with coverage through Microsoft Azure, PCI compliant, MFA across all access points, 3-2-1 backup across two regions plus offsite, and cyber liability insurance on file. | SOC 2 Type II attestation announced in April 2022 covering Availability, Security, and Confidentiality. The current security page names no certification, so request the current documentation. |
| Service commitments | 99.9 percent uptime SLA plus a 48-hour resolution commitment on critical bugs. | 99.9 percent monthly uptime target with maintenance capped at 30 minutes per month. No service credit and no published support response times. |
| Data ownership and exit | The customer owns all data. Export by CSV or SFTP extraction at any time. | Confirm export format, timeline, and any cost before signing. |
| Onboarding & Support | ||
| Implementation | White-glove onboarding run by LoadStop's own EDI, integration, development, and accounting teams, with a phased plan, parallel-run option, and hypercare after go-live. No subscription is charged until go-live. | Scope varies with integrations and workflow customisation. Some users describe implementations requiring considerable time and internal resources, so agree on scope and staffing before signature. |
| Support model | Documented support hours are 6 am to 6 pm PST Monday to Friday, plus Saturday coverage, backed by a 20-person customer success and support team. | Support runs through an authenticated customer portal. There is no public help centre or product documentation. |
| Commercial & Company | ||
| Pricing model | Modular and tier-based, quote-driven, with no per-seat fees, so adding dispatchers adds no licence cost. | Published entry tier starts at $5,000 per month. The Collaboration and Visibility tier is quote-only. Implementation, integration, and training may carry additional costs. |
| Ownership and focus | LoadStop Inc., founded in 2019, privately held, founder-led, no parent company, transportation focus only. | Wholly owned subsidiary of Lineage Logistics, a temperature-controlled logistics operator, since June 2022. Continues under its own brand and leadership. |
| Stronger fit for | Asset carriers, freight brokers, and hybrid asset-based brokerages wanting one AI-native operating system spanning execution and finance. | Shippers, non-asset 3PLs, and networks where a large party can bring its partners onto a shared collaboration platform. |
Why Teams Move to LoadStop
Where Visibility Ends & Operations Begin
Turvo's model is sound and its execution is good. The question is whether the model fits a company that owns trucks, sources its own capacity, and runs its own payroll. Four places operators tell us it does not.
Your return should not depend on someone else's software decision.
Turvo's value curve rises with the number of your shippers and carriers who actually work inside it. That is straightforward when one large customer mandates the platform, harder when your capacity comes from 12-truck carriers and your customers already run portals of their own. LoadStop removes the same work from your side. Waterfall tendering contacts carriers in sequence and escalates on its own. AI Track flags a late load before the customer notices. None of it waits for a partner to sign in.
A collaboration layer stops where the truck starts.
Turvo's products follow a shipment: orders, shipments, inventory, scheduling, analytics, and driver tracking. For a shipper or non-asset 3PL, that is a complete picture. If you own trucks, the rest of the operation has to live somewhere else: driver settlements across six pay structures, IFTA and fuel, preventive maintenance, and ten-component FMCSA driver qualification files. LoadStop runs all of it against the same load record as dispatch, so the load that moved is the load that gets paid on.
A hybrid is one company that has to behave like two.
An asset-based brokerage needs both sides sharing operational data while keeping separate books. Turvo models carriers and brokers as distinct parties in a network, the correct design for coordinating between companies. LoadStop handles it as one documented capability: operations sync across entities, financials stay separated by entity, and agent commissions run on tiered or percentage models.
Performance data belongs on the screen that the dispatcher works on
Turvo Analytics is capable, with more than 200 attributes to report on, and those reports sit in a reporting view. LoadStop renders interactive KPIs inside the Dispatch Control Room, alongside Grid, Timeline, Drivers, and Lane Balance views. Nobody leaves the board to find out how the fleet is doing. The point is a dispatcher who makes a better decision during the shift, not a cleaner report read after it.

Native AI, Not an Add-On Portal
Coverage, Planning, and Answers Without the Manual Work
Every TMS now markets AI, so the useful question is where it runs and what it decides on its own. LoadStop runs against the same load record as dispatch, settlements, and compliance, which is why a tender decision, a fleet plan, and a carrier scorecard all draw on the same data.
Automated Coverage
Run waterfall tendering across your carrier network, fall back to spot-bid sourcing when a lane goes uncovered, and rank incoming bids so that a broker or dispatcher works from a short list instead of an empty inbox.

Turn inbox chaos into clean operating records: AI reads inbound emails, parses quote requests and load details, and drafts responses. Your team reviews and sends instead of retyping.

TMS Copilot sits inside dispatch, planning, tracking, and accounting, surfacing recommendations and answering operator questions in the workflow the user is already in, rather than sending them to a separate reporting or search tool.
